May 15 - May 24, 2027
Ten days through neon cities, volcanic hot springs, ancient temples & bamboo groves.
The tour begins! You'll be greeted at the airport by a private driver who assists with your transfer to the hotel. After a brief orientation, you're free to explore Tokyo on your own.
A full day of Tokyo highlights by private car with your guide: Meiji Shrine, passing the Akasaka Guest House and National Diet Building, then the Imperial Palace East Garden. After lunch, visit Sensoji Temple (Asakusa Kannon) and the Nakamise-dori shopping street.
Explore the Tsukiji outdoor market, then wander Ginza and Nihonbashi's boutiques and tech stores. The day's highlight is a hands-on sushi-making class, finishing with the energy of Shibuya and Harajuku.
Optional add-onExperience the Power of Sumo — an early-morning visit to a Tokyo sumo stable to watch rikishi train, guided throughout. Shoes off; socks required; knees must be covered.
Ride the world's second-longest cable car up Mt. Owakudani over sulfurous hot springs, sample the legendary black eggs, then board a pirate boat across Lake Ashinoko. Afterward, visit the Hakone Open-Air Museum. Fuji-sightings depend on clear skies — she's a shy mountain.
Check out of the Ryokan and transfer privately to Odawara Station, then board the bullet train — about 150 minutes to Kyoto Station. A short walk brings you to check-in at the RIHGA Royal Hotel Kyoto.
A traditional tea ceremony opens the day, followed by Kiyomizu-dera (a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1994) and the golden Kinkaku-ji Temple. Wander the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest along the Sagano Path, then stroll the historic Gion district.
A free day to wander at your own pace — or join one of two optional experiences: a traditional Kimono Experience, or a Chopstick Making workshop.
Private transfer to Osaka, beginning at the majestic Osaka Castle. Ascend the Umeda Sky Building Observatory for panoramic views, then dive into the neon energy of Namba and Dotonbori Street before checking in to your hotel.

"14 days. 2 countries. 2 continents. In Spain, we visited churches, museums, and castles. In Morocco, we toured mosques, had lunch with a Moroccan family, got henna tattoos, watched belly dancers, and rode camels in the Sahara desert. We explored the Medina and souks in Marrakech. It was fast-paced, but such a great experience!"
